A stock market index is a barometer of the performance of the market. The movement of a stock market index gives an indication of the overall movement of the market.
The Indices subsection in the app gives you the major BSE and NSE Indices both in terms of 1 day basis as well as 1 month. The 1-month movement of the Indices is represented with the help of a simple interactive chart known as Snap-line. You can understand the 1-month movement of the Indices as well as compare with one another at one glance from the chart.
You can also get the complete details of any index by one simple touch.
(2) FII/DII Activities
A Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) is an investor or an investment fund who is investing in a country outside the one in which it is registered.
Eg: Morgan Stanley, HSBC
A Domestic Institutional Investor (DII) is an Indian Institutional Investor investing in the Indian Market.
Eg: HDFC Mutual Fund, LIC

You can see the Net Buy/Sell undertaken by the FII/DII on a daily basis in terms of Cash (Spot market) and Derivatives Market in an extremely easy to understand manner under this section on StockEdge app. If you want more details you can simply click on the relevant market and the relevant investor (FII or DII) segment.
(D) Deals
In general, there are three different types of deals in the stock market:
(1) Bulk Deals:
A Bulk Deal can be defined as a trade, whose total quantity (i.e. brought or sold) exceeds 0.5% of the total number of equity shares of a listed company. Bulk Deals may give a signal of a rising stock price (in case of buy) or a falling stock price (in case of sell). StockEdge gives filtered bulk deals.
(2) Block Deals:
A Block Deal is a trade transaction(buy or sell), having a minimum value of Rs 10 crores, carried out in one single transaction. This transaction is carried out in a special window, known as Block Deals Window. This Window is opened for only 35 minutes during the morning trading hours. These deals are not shown to people who trade in the normal trading window.
Just like Bulk Deals, Block Deals also gives a signal of a rising stock price(in case of a buy block deal), or a falling stock price (in case of a sell block deal)
Similar to Bulk Deals: you can get a list of Block deals that take place on NSE or BSE on a daily basis by using StockEdge. Not only that you can also get details of both the investor and the company where such deals are taking place in a very easy manner.
(3) Insider Deals:
As per SEBI regulations, any person having material information that can substantially impact any company’s stock price is termed as an insider and the buying or selling of shares of the company whose material information the insider is possessing is termed as an Insider Deal. Such deals have to be disclosed to the Exchanges.
As insiders tend to have the updated information of a company, therefore trading by them in their own company stock will have a significant impact on the stock price.
Like the other deals, StockEdge provides you a comprehensive list of insider deals on a daily basis along with the details of the insider and the company all in a very user-friendly manner.
